TIPS ON BUILDING A WEBSITE
52Niche Competition
1. Check to see just how much competition you will have for that product keyword that you wish to sell or blog about. A good start would be (google keyword tool) this will show you the competition for your keywords and what choices you have to pick from. If there is high competition for your niche you will have to decide to either change your niche or just keep breaking the keywords down until you find the low competition keywords related to your niche. Now that you have done that its time to pick your domain name.
2. Domain names are getting harder to find everyday, at-least the good ones anyway. The first thing I think that you would want to do is pick your domain name with your keyword or keywords in the domain. For example if your niche is about High Heelsyou would want your domain name to have those keywords in the url. Another option would be to buy a domain name that is already been used for years and has high rank and traffic already established. Now that would put you ahead of the whole game from the get go. Now you have your domain name optimized for your niche its time to move on to the next phase.
Website Builder Or Html Editor
3. Now if you are familiar with code then you will have severall options available for building your website. One with great reviews is the Adobe Dreamweaver, but you will pay a great deal for this fine website creator.
4. Or if you are awesome with the writing of code, then a lot of online sites are built with Notepad. This fine software has produced rather a lot of great hand written websites. You will need html knoweledge if you have that kinda background then this could be for you.
5. Begineers with no html knowledge there is one that I'm familiar with and that is wordpress, you can get this at wordpress.org. This software is a server based. If you have a hosting account like hostgator then you can download this with just one click and its ready to go. Now do a little tweaking and your up and running and google seems to index sites built with Wordpress rather quickly.
Wordpress to Webhost
Website Content
6. Content is what makes or breaks a website. Would you want or stay on a page that was boring and had nothing to say, most likely not. So write an article and add your keywords to the article. Make the keywords clickable, by clickable I mean if nothing else direct the link to one of your own products or to an outside source. This content is what search engines use to classify what your site is about. Now here is how to make the text clickable, just replace the underlined with your domain and replace the keyword with the text you want clickable.
<a href="http://www.your domain.com">KEYWORD</a>
7. Now you have the search engines indexing your pages. The next thing that is very important is to give your viewers some eye candy by adding some of your best photos. Then there is video, place a video on your website. Now you have your customers attention and they will stay longer. People just love to watch a video of a tutorial or view products that they can play and pause.
